Crazy car inspection

Recently I went to have an inspection of my car done, seems pretty harmless, right.

However when the inspection is over the car guy comes over and say, you car doesn’t pass…
-Me: ok…so what’s wrong with the car?
-Car guy: You need to remove your license plate cover…
-Me:???
-Car guy: Yeah…you need to remove your license plate cover…
(Important to note is that the plate cover says "Happiness is being Swedish")



-Me: WHY????????!!!!!!!!!!

-Car guy: Because it's against the law in Massachusetts to cover the "Spirit of America" writing on the plate...




-Me: Are you kidding????????????!!!!!!!!!!
-Car guy: No, so are you going to remove it?
-Me: Hum, ok…so I don’t have a screwdriver right here, maybe you could do it for me???
-Car guy: ok
-Me: But now no one will know that I am Swedish (trying to make a joke)
-Car guy (in a very uninterested voice, I might add): ok, so?
-Me (inside my head) I am SO putting that cover back on later…

Just nu sitter jag hemma hos min syster i Stockholm och väntar på att få flyga tillbaka till USA. Kan ju inte säga att jag direkt längtar tillbaka till Maynard men jag saknar ju trollen och hundarna otroligt mycket.

Jury duty

Just nu sitter jag och väntar på att klockan ska bli 8 och jag ska börja mi jury duty, ett måste om man ska vara en "good American". Även om det känns som jag har en hel massa saker att göra istället så ska det bli spännande att få se hur detta går till. Håller tummarna att jag inte blir vald att sitta på en jury... det kan visst ta flera dar, till och med veckor ibland.

Jury Duty

Jusry Duty was something I was looking forward to doing when I was not a citizen and now when I am what a pain in the a** it is!

I was on call for 15 days, and for some reason I missed to call on Friday to find out if I was scheduled to come in this morning and yes, of course I was, and I missed it....ugh....now I might have to go next Monday instead...not easy to be a *newer* american...

Disney on Ice

We went to Disney on Ice and it was really great!
Especially my 3 year old girl, she sat still for the whole show! That's a first. :) My 6 year old son also liked it even though he would never admit it! We are going to Disney World i March so this was a perfect teaser.

I encourage everyone so go see it!

Bella is finally a flyball dog!

I rescued a beautiful Border Collie named Bella over a year ago. She was a great dog but she had some issues. We started working on her issues and training for flyball. At times it felt like she weould never get the game and she would just be a great pet for us but one day it clicked and she understood what her job was! Yesterday she earned 2 titles, FD and FDX and I could not be more proud of her!

Way to go Bella!
